New Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway

The Alberta Government recently announced a new Express Entry Stream under the Alberta Immigration program: Accelerated Tech Pathway. It allows skilled tech workers an expedited pathway to permanent residency to fulfil labour shortages.

There are more than 3,000 tech companies in the Alberta province. The significant growth of tech companies necessitated the introduction of the Accelerated Tech Pathway to strengthen Alberta’s tech workforce.

The Associate Minister of Immigration and Multiculturalism, Muhammad Yassen, stated that:

“The new [Alberta Accelerated Tech] immigration pathway will help Alberta’s tech industry attract world-class professionals to grow their businesses and develop the skills of Albertans currently employed in the industry.”
