Federal Express Entry System
Due to the impacts of COVID-19, the Federal Skilled Worker immigration program under the Express Entry draw remains paused from accepting applications due to a significant processing backlog. This gives context to the fact that draw #213 comprised solely of Provincial Nominees.
The most recent Federal Express Entry Nomination draw was conducted on January 5, 2022. The total number of invitations issued was 392. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of a nominated candidate was 808 points. The total number of candidates that applied to the Express Entry Pool was 193,148.

Alberta Provincial Nominee Program
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) comprises two streams for skilled workers: Alberta Opportunity Stream and Alberta Express Entry Stream. The Express Entry Stream draw was conducted on January 5, 2022, and 250 notification of interest letters were issued. The lowest ranked score of a candidate was 327. The Alberta Opportunity Stream continues to process applications that were received prior to November 22, 2021. There are estimated to be 450 applications in the backlog. Therefore, the Alberta Opportunity Stream of the AINP is yet to conduct a draw in 2022.

British Colombia Provincial Nominee Program
The British Colombia Provincial Nominee Program comprised of a General Nomination Draw, a NOC-specific draw, and a Tech Draw.
The General Draw and the NOC-Specific Draw was conducted on January 11, 2022. The General Draw nominated 201 candidates and the NOC-Specific Draw nominated 31 candidates who were Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers and Restaurant and Food Service Managers. The minimum scores the General Draw are as follows:
- Skilled Worker – 103
- International Graduate – 90
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled – 78
- Express Entry BC Skilled Worker – 110
- Express Entry International Graduate – 92
The minimum score for the NOC-Specific Draw for all streams including skilled worker, international graduate, express entry BC skilled worker and express entry international graduate was 110.
The Tech Draw was conducted on January 4, 2022 and invited a total of 102 candidates to apply. The minimum score for the streams including skilled worker, international graduate, express entry BC skilled worker and express entry international graduate was 80.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
On January 13, 2022, Manitoba conducted its first nomination draw for the year under the provincial nominee program. Manitoba has three nomination streams: skilled workers, international education, and skilled workers overseas.
The Skilled Worker program issued 357 letters of advice to candidates to apply. The minimum score of a nominated candidate was 459.
The International Education stream issued 33 letters of advice to candidates to apply.
The Skilled Workers Overseas stream issued 53 letters of advice to apply and the minimum score of a nominated candidate was 711.

Ontario Provincial Nominee Program
The Ontario Government issued 779 nominations for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program on January 13, 2022, through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Each year the Government of Canada through the IRCC sets a limited number of nominations they will accept from the Ontario government. The 2022 nomination allocation remains undetermined.
The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program comprises of three streams all of which require an employer job offer: Foreign Worker Stream, International Student Stream, and In-Demand Skills Stream.
The Foreign Worker stream invited 264 candidates to apply, and the minimum score was 38 or higher. The International Student stream invited 762 candidates to apply. The minimum score was 59 or higher.
The In-Demand Skills Stream invited 58 candidates with specific occupations that the Ontario government were targeting. The minimum score of the candidates was 11 or higher. The occupations targeted in this In-Demand Skills Stream were:
- Health and agricultural occupations:
- NOC 3413 – nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates
- NOC 4412 – home support workers and related occupations, excluding housekeepers
- NOC 8431 – general farm workers
- NOC 8432 – nursery and greenhouse workers
- NOC 8611 – harvesting labourers
- NOC 9462 – industrial butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and related workers
- Manufacturing (outside the GTA only):
- NOC 9411 – machine operators, mineral and metal processing
- NOC 9416 – metalworking and forging machine operators
- NOC 9417 – machining tool operators
- NOC 9418 – other metal products machine operators
- NOC 9421 – chemical plant machine operators
- NOC 9422 – plastics processing machine operators
- NOC 9437 – woodworking machine operators
- NOC 9446 – industrial sewing machine operators
- NOC 9461 – process control and machine operators, food, beverage, and associated products processing
- NOC 9523 – electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors, and testers
- NOC 9526 – mechanical assemblers and inspectors
- NOC 9536 – industrial painters, coaters, and metal finishing process operators
- NOC 9537 – other products assemblers, finishers, and inspectors

Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program
The Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program is made up of two streams: Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand. On January 12, 2022, the Express Entry stream nominated 37 candidates to apply. The Occupations In-Demand stream also nominated 67 candidates to apply. The score of the lowest ranked candidate for both streams was 68.
Both streams had specific occupations that were chosen and considered eligible. The following occupations were eligible:
- NOC 3211 – Medical Laboratory Technologists
- NOC 3234 – Paramedical Occupations
- NOC 4151 – Psychologists
- NOC 3216 – Medical Sonographers
- NOC 3143 – Occupational Therapists
- NOC 3215 – Medical Radiation Technologists
